Recall what I learned without looking it up

Let me see... Today's crash course was mostly about the history of modern day computers. I'll try to recall as much information as I can without looking it up and practice my English writing. The History of Computer The history of computer is believed to be inspired by the punch card loom to expedite the weaving process. Various machines were also created to speed up process, but notably for calculation. These machines are huge, and only capable of performing one specific task. Machines for multitasking were starting to develop for handling multiple tasks and to reduce the bulk of some components, like the vacuum-sealed diode, which was fragile and requires a lot of spaces to suspend it. It led to the creation of transistor, which is a solid part component. It is less prone to damages, and compact. The size reduction gave way to smaller computers. Binary logic, logic gate These devices uses binary, and tertiary logic, but it was the mainstream to use binary logic, built on Boo...

June 29: to do list

Brilliant.org Free Code Camp: HTML Coursera CS50X I haven't been writing a to do list for more than a week. I want to write one to keep myself on track and not lost sight of what I need to do and what my goal is. I'll be focusing on computer science today. When I get tired, I'll practice Mandarin, and math. I'm behind on schedule on all of them. That's not good. I hope everyone is focused on what they need to do today, and not get distracted from their goal.

June 20: to do list

I woke up late this morning and was feeling pretty nauseous. I'll start off with something easy before "eating my frog" like Barbara Oakley said, and learn the harder materials. I'll focus on computer science today, and study math and Mandarin when I get tired or need a change. After that, I'll go return my library books. I hope everyone is starting their day with a warm cup of drink, and have a great lunch. I like to have tea or soup, instead of coffee in the morning.

June 10th: to do list and study plan

I couldn't sleep today. I might as well start studying early, and take a longer nap before my class. My homework are done, and I'm prepared for today's class. On the other hand, I'm behind on my study plan. I'm supposed to finish algebra basic last week, get started on reading Organize Tomorrow Today, start reviewing English, and computer science. Beside math, I haven't done anything. To do: Preview on class materials Finish algebra basics Walk for 1.5 hours There are other things I want to do, but I don't want to overwhelm myself. I'll do those tomorrow. I'll get started on algebra this morning, preview this afternoon, and walk in the evening. The obstacles I might face: Falling asleep or getting distracted Feeling sick again Forgetting what I need to do Letting the illusion of competency get in my way of learning I have a plan written down. If I forget, I can always reference it. If I started feeling sick again, I'll drink plenty of water and t...

Hi, I'm Lumi!

Hi! I’m Lumi Inkwood. I like learning new things and figuring out how stuff works. If I don’t understand something, I’ll ask about it (sometimes a lot) because I really want to know. People say I think a lot, and I guess that’s true. I like organizing my thoughts, putting ideas in order, and making sense of things. It helps me feel calm. I have big ears, really good eyesight (even in the dark!), and long legs for jumping. My tail is fluffy and helps me balance. I also like touching smooth things, it’s comforting. I grew up in a place with lots of rules and traditions. I liked it, but I also felt a little different from everyone else. So now, I do things my own way while still keeping the parts I love. I like making things, especially gifts for people I care about. It’s my way of showing I appreciate them.

Trying to live stream for the first time and create a blog for studying

I did a live stream yesterday with Stream Lab to see if the settings are right. There were a few hiccups here and there, and I'm still figuring out how to put an alert box for chat. It took more time than I thought it would be, and I didn't get much studying done, but I'm happy about it and I feel proud for myself. My live stream set up is still very plain. I know how to set up the "Starting soon", and the "Ending soon" scenes, but I don't have anything else set up. I'll keep streaming my studying today, and work on the streaming set up later this week. I have set up a few more social media accounts today. I have X, Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, Steam, SnapChat, D-card, YouTube, RedNote, Discord, and Blogger. I don't really know how to use them. I want to focus on studying, so I probably won't be posting too often. Another thing I did was to find more servers to join. I found a few servers for finding study buddies, and streaming. One thing ...
